Asking for Directions

A foreigner who appeared to be a tourist was standing on the sidewalk with a map spread out. He approached a young Japanese man nearby. "Excuse me, is there a convenience store near here?” The traveler asked. The young man thought for a moment, then answered with a smile: “Yes, there is." "Go straight from here and turn right at the second intersection." The second intersection, right?" "You turn right?” The traveler asked for confirmation. "Yes.” "And after you turn right, walk a little further and you will see a convenience store on your left." "Thank you very much!" "How long does it take to walk there?" The traveler asked a little anxiously. "About five minutes." "I'm sure you'll find it soon." "You've been so helpful." "Thank you so much," the traveler smiled, thanked him, folded up his map, and started down the road. The young man waved his hand and said, “take care" calling out to him.
