第二次世界大戦の時代、広島県の呉市という町に、少女のすずが住んでいました。
During the World War II era, a young girl named Suzu lived in a town called Kure in Hiroshima Prefecture.
すずは自然が好きで、空想にふけるのが得意な優しい性格の女の子です。
Suzu is a kind natured girl who loves nature and is good at daydreaming.
彼女は家族と一緒に静かな日々を送っていましたが、ある日、呉に住む周作という青年から突然の縁談が持ち上がります。
She lived a quiet life with her family until one day, a young man named Shusaku, who lived in Kure, suddenly offered her a marriage proposal.
周作の家は軍港に近く、戦争の影響を強く受ける場所でした。
Shusaku's house was near a military port and was strongly affected by the war.
結婚して周作の家に嫁いだすずは、新しい家族とともに暮らし始めます。
Suzu married into Shusaku's family and started living with her new family.

Her efforts and cheerfulness support those around her, but she also experiences sadness at the loss of her loved ones.
そんな中で、すずは戦争という厳しい現実に向き合いながらも、生きる希望を見つけ出そうとします。
In the midst of all this, Suzu tries to find hope for life while facing the harsh reality of war.
彼女の絵や想像力は、辛い現実を乗り越える力となり、家族や仲間とともに少しずつ未来を見据えていきます。
Her drawings and imagination become her strength to overcome the painful reality, and she gradually looks to the future with her family and friends.
