映画『エターナル・サンシャイン』の物語は、ジョエルという少し内気で慎重な性格の男性が、ある日、電車の中でクレメンタインという活発で自由奔放な女性と出会うところから始まります。
The story of the film "Eternal Sunshine" begins when a slightly shy and cautious man named Joel meets a lively and free-spirited woman named Clementine on the train one day.
二人の性格は正反対ですが、不思議な魅力で惹かれ合い、関係を築き始めます。

In the midst of this, Clementine impulsively hires "Lacuna Inc.", a company that provides memory erasing services, to erase all memories of Joel.

He, too, decides to visit Lacuna and undergo the same surgery.

They search for hiding places in their memories, sometimes escaping into childhood memories or even into an embarrassing past that Joel does not want to share with others.
