Victor visited cemeteries and morgues, collecting body parts under the watchful eye of the public.
そして暗く静かな研究室で、雷の力を利用してその材料に命を吹き込む装置を作り上げた。
Then, in his dark and silent laboratory, he created a device that harnessed the power of lightning to bring the material to life.
ある嵐の夜、ヴィクターは自分の実験をついに完成させた。
One stormy night, Victor finally completed his experiment.
雨が激しく窓を叩き、雷鳴が夜空を裂く中、彼はスイッチを引いた。
He pulled the switch as rain pounded violently on the windows and thunder rumbled ripping through the night sky.

Having taken everything from him, the monster hunted Victor down to the North Pole.

In the harsh land, closed off by ice and snow, Victor continued to chase the monster until he ran out of his own strength.
物語の終わりに、ヴィクターは力尽きて死んだ。
At the end of the story, Victor died of exhaustion.
しかしモンスターは彼の死を悲しみ、自分の存在そのものに絶望しながら消えていった。
But the monster was saddened by his death and disappeared, despairing of its very existence.
