ポニョという小さな魚の女の子は、深い海の中で父親と一緒に暮らしていました。
A little fish girl named Ponyo lived with her father in the deep sea.
ある日、彼女は海から抜け出し、人間の世界を見たいと思い、泳ぎ始めます。
One day, she decides she wants to get out of the sea and see the human world, so she starts swimming.
海辺の町に着いたポニョは、崖の上で遊んでいた少年、宗介に出会います。
When Ponyo arrives in a seaside town, she meets a boy named Sosuke who is playing on a cliff.
宗介は彼女を瓶の中から助け出し、優しく「ポニョ」と名付けました。
Sosuke rescued her from a bottle and gently named her "Ponyo.
ポニョは宗介のことが大好きになり、人間になりたいと強く願います。
Ponyo grew fond of Sosuke and strongly wished to become human.
しかし、ポニョが海を離れたことで、海のバランスが崩れ、大きな嵐が町を襲います。
However, when Ponyo leaves the sea, the balance of the sea is upset and a big storm hits the town.
ポニョは父親に連れ戻されますが、どうしても宗介のもとへ戻りたい気持ちは変わりません。
Ponyo is taken back to her father, but her desire to return to Sosuke remains unchanged.
彼女の魔法を使い、ついに人間の姿に変わります。
Using her magic, she finally transforms into human form.
嵐の後、宗介とポニョは小さな船に乗り込み、町や家族を探しに行きます。
After the storm, Sosuke and Ponyo board a small boat and go in search of the town and their families.
その旅の中で二人はお互いを支え合い、深い絆を築いていきます。
During their journey, they support each other and form a deep bond.
最終的に、ポニョが人間として生きるためには宗介の愛が必要だと分かります。
In the end, Ponyo realizes that she needs Sosuke's love in order to live as a human being.
宗介はポニョを心から受け入れることを誓い、彼女の願いは叶えられます。
Sosuke vows to accept Ponyo with all his heart, and her wish is granted.
海も静かになり、町は元通りになります。
The sea becomes quiet and the town returns to normal.
ポニョと宗介は、笑顔で新しい毎日を迎える準備を始めました。
Ponyo and Sosuke begin to prepare for each new day with smiles on their faces.
