Getting a Haircut
美容院は静かで、優しい音楽が流れていた。
The beauty salon was quiet and gentle music was playing.
明るい日差しが窓から差し込み、店内は清潔で落ち着いた雰囲気だった。
Bright sunlight streamed in through the windows, and the inside of the salon was clean and relaxed.
「いらっしゃいませ。」
"Welcome."
美容師が笑顔で近づいてきた。
The hair stylist approached with a smile.
「本日はいかがなさいますか？」
"How can I help you today?"
「髪を切りたいです。」
"I want a haircut."
太郎は少し緊張した様子で答えた。
Taro was a little nervous.
「どのくらい切りますか？」
"How long do you want it cut?" The hairdresser asked gently.
美容師は優しく聞いた。
Taro thought for a moment and then said: "Please cut it short."
太郎は少し考えてから言った。
"But not too short."
「短くしてください。
"Yes, sir," the hairdresser said.
でも、あまり短すぎないでください。」
"What about the bangs?"
「かしこまりました。
"Cut the bangs just a little shorter."
前髪はどうしますか？」
The hairdresser nodded and guided him to a seat.
「前髪は少しだけ短くしてください。」
"Then let's get started."
美容師はうなずき、席に案内した。
Taro sat looking in the mirror, listening to the rhythmic sound of the scissors.
「それでは始めますね。」
"Do you mind if I shorten the left side a bit?"
太郎は鏡を見ながら座り、はさみの音がリズミカルに響くのを聞いていた。
The hairdresser confirmed halfway through.
「もう少し左を短くしてもいいですか？」
"Yes, please."
途中で美容師が確認した。
Taro replied in a reassuring voice.
「はい、お願いします。」
About 30 minutes later, the hairdresser smiled and showed Taro the mirror.
太郎は安心した声で答えた。
"How do you like this?"
約30分後、美容師は笑顔で太郎に鏡を見せた。
Taro looked in the mirror and nodded in satisfaction.
「これでいかがですか？」
"It looks good."
太郎は鏡を見て、満足そうにうなずいた。
"Thank you."
「いい感じです。
"Thank you very much."
ありがとうございます。」
"Please come back again."
「ありがとうございました。
The hairdresser smiled as she saw him off.
またお越しください。」
Taro left the salon with a new haircut and a lighter head.
美容師が最後まで笑顔で見送ってくれた。
太郎は新しい髪型で軽くなった頭を触りながら、美容院を後にした。
