日本にはたくさんの昔話があります。
There are many folktales in Japan.
有名な話は「桃太郎」です。
The most famous story is "Momotaro."
桃太郎は大きい桃から生まれた男の子です。
Momotaro is a boy born from a big peach.
彼は鬼を退治するために旅に出ます。
He sets out on a journey to exterminate ogres.
その旅で犬、猿、キジが仲間になります。
On his journey, a dog, a monkey, and a pheasant join him.
みんなで力を合わせて、鬼を倒します。
They all join forces to defeat the ogres.
もう一つの有名な話は「浦島太郎」です。
Another famous story is "Urashima Taro."
浦島太郎は海でカメを助けます。
Urashima Taro saves a turtle in the sea.
カメはお礼に浦島太郎を竜宮城へ連れて行きます。
In return, the turtle takes Urashima Taro to the Dragon's Palace.
竜宮城では美しい乙姫様が迎えてくれます。
At the Dragon's Palace, he's welcomed by the beautiful Otohime-sama.
でも、太郎が家に帰ると、何年も時間が経っていました。
But when Taro returns home, many years have passed.
日本の昔話はとても面白いですね。
