The Movie Theater
土曜日の午後、田中美咲は駅前の映画館にやってきた。
On Saturday afternoon, Misaki Tanaka came to the movie theater in front of the station.
最近話題になっている映画、「星の記憶」をどうしても観たいと思っていた。
She really wanted to see "Memories of the Stars," a movie that has been getting a lot of attention lately.
窓口には若い女性の係員が立っていた。
A young female attendant was standing at the ticket window.
「いらっしゃいませ。
She said, "Welcome."
何をお求めですか？」
"How can I help you?"
係員はにこやかに笑いながら、美咲に声をかけた。
The attendant smiled and approached Misaki.
「ええと、『星の記憶』のチケットを１枚お願いします。」
"Well, I would like a ticket for 'Memories of the Stars."
美咲は少し緊張しながら答えた。
Misaki answered a little nervously.
「かしこまりました。
"Sure thing."
本日ですと、午後３時と午後６時の回がございますが、どちらにいたしますか？」
"Today, there are two showings, one at 3:00 pm. and the other at 6:00 pm, so which would you like?"
係員がスクリーンのタイムスケジュールを指差しながら言った。
The attendant pointed to the time schedule on the screen.
「３時の回でお願いします。」
"The 3:00 pm showing, please."
美咲は財布を取り出しながら答える。
Misaki replied as she took out her wallet.
「ありがとうございます。
"Thank you very much."
お席はどちらにいたしますか？
"Which seat would you like?"
スクリーンの中央あたりがおすすめですが。」
"I recommend the center of the screen."
係員は座席表を美咲の前に広げた。
The attendant unfolded the seating chart in front of Misaki.
「じゃあ、中央の少し後ろの席をお願いします。」
"Well then, I'll take a seat in the center, a little behind the screen." Misaki asked, pointing with her finger.
美咲は指で指定しながら頼んだ。
"This is your seat."
「こちらのお席ですね。
"The ticket price will be 1,500 yen."
チケット代は１５００円になります。」
The attendant issued the ticket and told Misaki how much it would be.
係員がチケットを発行しながら、料金を伝えた。
"Here you go."
「はい、どうぞ。」
Misaki handed over the money.
美咲はお金を手渡した。
"Exact change."
「ちょうど頂きます。
"Here is your ticket."
こちらがチケットです。
"The movie will be shown at 3:00 pm on screen 2."
映画は午後３時から２番スクリーンで上映いたします。
"Please enjoy the movie!"
お楽しみくださいませ。」
The attendant politely handed over the ticket.
係員が丁寧にチケットを渡した。
"Thank you!"
「ありがとうございます。」
Misaki received the ticket and excitedly thought about how to spend the time until the screening time.
美咲はチケットを受け取り、ウキウキしながら上映時間までの時間をどう過ごそうか考えた。
The lobby of the movie theater was filled with the sweet smell of popcorn and movie posters.
映画館のロビーには、ポップコーンの甘い香りと、映画のポスターが所狭しと貼られている。
With her heart filled with anticipation for the story that was about to begin, Misaki began to get ready to head to her seat.
これから始まる物語への期待に胸を膨らませながら、美咲は座席へ向かう準備を始めた。
