Tokyo Godfathers
東京の寒い冬、ホームレスの三人組が運命的な物語を経験する。
In the cold winter of Tokyo, a trio of homeless people experience a fateful story.
一人目はギンジ、元プロの競輪選手で、過去の失敗から酒に溺れ、路上生活を送っている。
The first is Ginji, a former professional bicycle racer who, due to past failures, has become addicted to alcohol and lives on the streets.
二人目はハナ、心優しい元ドラァグクイーンで、愛と家族を求めている。
The second is Hana, a kind-hearted former drag queen in search of love and family.
そして三人目はミユキ、家出中の十代の少女で、家族との対立から逃げてきた。
And the third is Miyuki, a runaway teenage girl who has run away from a family conflict.
ある夜、三人はゴミ捨て場で泣き声を耳にする。
One night, the three of them hear crying in a garbage dump.
調べてみると、そこには赤ん坊が置き去りにされていた。
Upon investigation, they find a baby left there.
赤ん坊と一緒にあったのは手紙と少しのお金だけ。
All they found with the baby was a letter and a little money.
ハナはこの子を「天使」と呼び、自分たちで親を探し出すことを提案する。
Hana calls the child an "angel" and suggests that they find the parents themselves.
こうして、彼らの特別な旅が始まった。
Thus began their special journey.
旅の途中で、三人はさまざまな試練に直面する。
During their journey, the three of them face various challenges.
ギャングとの遭遇、過去に向き合う機会、不思議な偶然の数々が彼らの行く手を阻む。
Encounters with gangsters, opportunities to confront the past, and a series of strange coincidences stand in their way.
しかし、これらの出来事を通して、三人の間には絆が深まり、それぞれが自分の人生と向き合うきっかけを得る。
Through these events, however, the bond between the three grows stronger, and each is given the opportunity to face his or her own life.
赤ん坊の親を探す中で、彼らは東京の街を駆け回り、様々な人々と出会う。
In their search for the baby's parents, they run around the streets of Tokyo and meet all kinds of people.
その中には善意の人もいれば、危険な存在もいる。
Some of them are well-meaning, while others are dangerous.
ギンジは自分の家族とのつらい過去を思い出し、ミユキは自分の行動の結果と向き合い始める。
Ginji recalls his painful past with his own family, and Miyuki begins to face the consequences of her actions.
一方で、ハナは「母親」としての愛を全力で注ぎ続ける。
Meanwhile, Hana continues to pour out all the love she can as a "mother.
やがて、手がかりをつなぎ合わせていくうちに、赤ん坊がある家庭から誘拐された可能性が浮上する。
Eventually, as the clues are pieced together, the possibility that the baby was abducted from a family emerges.
その真実が明らかになったとき、三人は驚きと感動、そして新たな希望を感じる。
When the truth is revealed, the three are surprised, moved, and feel renewed hope.
最後に、彼らは赤ん坊を本当の家族のもとに返すことに成功する。
In the end, they succeed in returning the baby to his true family.
その瞬間、三人は自分たち自身の人生にも新たな一歩を踏み出す決意をする。
In that moment, the three decide to take a new step forward in their own lives as well.
東京の空は、冷たい冬の夜にもかかわらず、少しだけ温かく感じられるようになった。
The Tokyo sky now feels a little warmer, despite the cold winter night.
