The City in the Trees
緑の海に浮かぶ都市「樹上の都」は、遥か昔から密林の中に隠されていた。
The City of Trees, a floating city in a sea of green, has been hidden in the jungle for a long time.
高くそびえる巨木の枝々に建てられたこの都市は、地面から光を奪うほどに繁る樹冠の中に、見事に調和して存在している。
Built on the branches of towering giant trees, the city existed in perfect harmony amidst a canopy of trees that thrived to the point of stealing light from the ground.
都市の中心には、「永遠の樹」と呼ばれる巨大な木が立っていた。
At the center of the city stood a giant tree known as the "Tree of Eternity."
その幹は他の木々を圧倒するほど太く、枝先は雲を突き抜けて空に溶け込むようだった。

ある日、樹民の若者であるリョウは、永遠の樹の根元で奇妙な光を見つけた。
One day, Ryo, a young tree person, spotted a strange light at the base of the Tree of Eternity.
淡い青い輝きが地面から漏れ出し、それを掘り進めると、古代の石板が現れた。
A pale blue glow leaked out of the ground, and digging into it revealed an ancient stone tablet.

The tablet was inscribed with this inscription: "This city is our gift."

"Let those who love the trees inherit it and keep it safe."

Ryou took the tablet home and showed it to the elders.
リョウはこの石板を持ち帰り、長老たちに見せた。
The elders nodded quietly and said, "This proves why we live here.
長老たちは静かに頷きながら、「これは我らがここで生きる理由を証明するものだ」と語った。
But at the same time, a warning was issued.
