温泉

The Hot Spring

The Hot Spring
A mother and daughter took a hot spring bath.
The open-air bath was located in the quiet mountains and the stars were shining in the sky.
Soaking in the hot water, the daughter said happily: "Mom, hot springs feel so good!"
"I've never been in a bath this big before."
The mother nodded with a smile.
"Right?"
"Hot springs are good for getting rid of fatigue."
"Besides, there's something special about being in a hot spring while looking out at nature."
The daughter looked up at the mountains beyond the steam.
"Oh, I can see so many stars!"
"We don't see this many stars in Tokyo."
"That's true."
"The air is cleaner in the mountains, so you can see more stars."
"It's important to relax in a place like this."
The mother opened her hands and took a deep breath.
The daughter moved her hands in the hot water and said: "Mom, do you always want to go to the hot springs?"
"Yes, I do."
"Especially when I'm tired or when I feel down."
"I feel lighter in body and soul when I go to the hot springs."
"I see."
"I want to come to the hot springs when I'm tired, too."
"But I'm not tired today, but I'm having a great time!"
"I'm glad to hear that."
"Hot springs are always a good place to go, whether you're having fun or feeling a little down."
She pulled her hand out of the hot water and looked at the tiny droplets of water.
"Mom, let's come back together again."
"Of course we will," she said.
"Next time we'll try a different hot spring."
The mother gently patted her daughter's head.
She smiled and nodded.
"I'm looking forward to it!"
The two soaked in the warm water and enjoyed the quiet time together.
