Envy
Envy is one of the most complex and subtle emotions in the human psyche.
When others possess certain qualities, success, material things, or social status that one does not have, envy is an emotion that arises naturally and is deeply related to personal values and self-evaluation.
Psychologically, envy is often categorized into two forms.
Constructive envy and destructive envy.
Constructive envy is when one sees the success of others and is positively motivated to work toward the same goal.
Destructive envy, on the other hand, sees the success of others as a threat and may prompt behavior that obstructs or criticizes it.
Underlying this emotion is the instinctive human act of comparison.
Comparison with others serves to confirm one's own position, but when it becomes excessive, it can cause self-esteem to decline and envy to intensify.
In addition, the frequency and scope of this comparison has expanded more than ever before due to the spread of social networking services, and many people have more opportunities to witness "the seemingly perfect lives of others.

Focusing on one's own progress and growth, rather than on comparisons with others, is the key to turning feelings of envy into a positive direction.
Gratitude can also be effective.
