週末の予定
Weekend Plans
土曜日の午後、陽子と友人の健太はカフェでお茶を飲みながら話をしていた。
On a Saturday afternoon, Yoko and her friend Kenta were talking over a cup of tea at a cafe.
窓の外には青空が広がり、春の日差しが心地よく街を照らしている。
Outside the window, the sky was blue and the spring sunlight was pleasantly illuminating the city.
陽子はコーヒーカップを手に取りながら、ふと話題を切り出した。
Yoko picked up her coffee cup and suddenly broached the subject.
「健太、週末は何をする予定？」
She asked, "Kenta, what are you planning to do this weekend?"
健太は少し考えるようにしてから、答えた。
Kenta thought for a moment before answering.
「うーん、多分公園に行くかな。
"Well, I'm probably going to the park."
最近忙しくて運動してなかったから、少し走りたいんだ。
"I've been so busy lately that I haven't been exercising, so I want to go for a little run."
陽子は？」
What about you, Yoko?"
陽子は微笑みながら、答えた。
Yoko smiled and answered.
「私は友達と映画を見に行く予定だよ。
"I'm going to go see a movie with my friends."
新しいアクション映画が出たって聞いたから。」
"I heard there's a new action movie coming out."
「いいね！
"I like it!"
何の映画？」
"What movie is it?"
「えっと、『疾風』っていう映画だよ。
"It's a movie called Shippou."
話がすごく面白そうなんだ。」
"The story sounds really interesting."
健太は興味深そうにうなずいた。
Kenta nodded his head in interest.
「その映画、僕も気になってた。
"I've been wondering about that movie too."
今度の土曜日に見に行くの？」
"Are you going to see it this Saturday?"
「うん、午後3時の回に行く予定。」
"Yes, I'm going to the 3:00 PM showing."
「じゃあ、その前に一緒にランチでもどう？
"Then, how about having lunch with me before that?"
ちょうど映画館の近くに新しいラーメン屋ができたらしいよ。」
"I heard there's a new ramen shop just opened near the theater."
「本当？
"Really?"
それはいいね！
"That sounds great!"
じゃあ、11時半に駅前で待ち合わせしよう。」
"Then let's meet up in front of the station at 11:30."
健太は笑顔で頷き、コーヒーを飲み干した。
Kenta nodded with a smile and drank his coffee.
「決まりだね。
"Then it's decided."
楽しみだ！」
"I'm looking forward to it," Yoko answered as she put down her cup.
陽子もカップを置きながら答えた。
"Yeah, I'm looking forward to it."
「うん、楽しみ。
"See you this weekend," Kenta replied, and by the time they left the cafe, their weekend plans were completely set.
じゃあ、週末に！」
Yoko headed home, imagining what kind of ramen she would be able to eat after she and Kenta parted ways.
カフェを出る頃には、二人の週末の予定がすっかり固まっていた。
陽子は健太と別れたあと、どんなラーメンが食べられるのかを想像しながら家路についた。
