Kiki's Delivery Service
キキは13歳の魔女見習いの女の子。
Kiki is a 13-year-old apprentice witch.
魔女の伝統に従って、修行のために一人で新しい街に移ることにした。
Following witch tradition, she decided to move to a new town by herself to train.
黒猫のジジと一緒に空を飛びながら、海辺の街に到着したキキは、初めての大人の生活に胸を躍らせた。
Arriving in the seaside town, flying through the air with her black cat, Gigi, Kiki is excited about her first adult life.
しかし、新しい街ではなかなか歓迎されず、キキは自分の居場所を見つけるのに苦労する。
However, she is not very welcome in her new town, and Kiki struggles to find her place in the world.
そんな中、パン屋の優しい奥さん、おソノさんに出会い、店の一部を借りて住むことができた。
Then she meets Mrs. Osono, the kind wife of a baker, and is able to rent a part of her store to live in.
キキはほうきで空を飛べる自分の能力を活かして、宅配便の仕事を始める。
Kiki takes advantage of her ability to fly on a broomstick and starts working as a courier.
最初の配達はなかなか上手くいかなかったが、少しずつ経験を積むことで、キキは自信を持ち始める。
Her first deliveries do not go well, but as she gains experience little by little, Kiki begins to gain confidence.
そして、配達を通じて様々な人々と出会い、彼らとの交流の中で成長していく。
Through her deliveries, she meets various people and grows through her interactions with them.
友達になったトンボという少年は特にキキにとって大切な存在となるが、彼との関係でも戸惑いやすれ違いが起きる。
A boy named Dragonfly, who becomes her friend, becomes especially important to Kiki, but she is confused and has differences with him as well.
やがて、キキは魔法の力を失いそうになる。
Eventually, Kiki almost loses her magical powers.
自信をなくし、自分が何もできないように感じてしまうが、ジジや新しい友達たちの支えで、自分自身を見つめ直す。
She loses her self-confidence and feels as if she is incapable of doing anything, but with the support of Gigi and her new friends, she begins to look at herself in a new light.
そして、大きな危機が訪れたとき、キキは自分の力を信じ、勇気を出して人々を助ける決心をする。
When a great crisis arises, Kiki believes in her own power and decides to be brave and help people.
キキは、自分の力や存在意義を改めて感じながら、少しずつ大人としての一歩を踏み出していく。
Kiki gradually takes a step forward as an adult, with a renewed sense of her own power and the meaning of her existence.
空に向かってほうきで飛ぶキキの姿は、希望と新しい未来を象徴しているかのようだった。
The image of Kiki flying on a broomstick toward the sky seemed to symbolize hope and a new future.
